KATHMANDU, June 13: The House of Representatives (HoR) is holding deliberations on the Constitution (2nd amendment) Bill, 2077 to include the revised map of Nepal in the country's emblem on Saturday

The bill has been presented at parliament to amend Schedule 3 of the Constitution which includes Nepal's map incorporating Limpiyadhura, Lipulek and Kalapani, the territory occupied by India.

Meanwhile, lawmaker Sarita Giri of the Socialist Party asked the Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota for time to register her amendment proposal on the bill, but the speaker rejected it.

Speaker Sapkota, however, stated that her proposal was not in line with Clause 112 (B) of HoR Regulations 2075. So, she could not be allowed to register her amendment proposal.  Giri was seeking to register an amendment proposal on the bill stating that Nepal did not have any evidence to claim these territories as her own sovereign territories.

Following the rejection, Giri left the parliament meeting halfway.
