BUTWAL, May 14: A landslide after yesterday’s rainfall has halted vehicular movements along the Siddhartha highway since 2 AM today. At around 1 AM yesterday, a landslide had fallen at Hedbox, an area that is at higher risks of landslides during monsoon every year.
Police have been working to remove the landslide by using a dozer and an excavator, according to Prabin Acharya, sub-inspector at Palpa’s District Traffic Police Office said adding that while most of the debris had been removed, a huge rock was taking time.
The landslide has affected vehicles commuting to Palpa, Gulmi, Arghakhachi, Syangja, Pokhara and Baglung.
