Karnali Corridor yet to be opened

MANMA, Oct 30: The Karnali Corridor, which remains blocked due to landslides on October 4, has not been opened yet. The corridor has not yet been opened due to continuous landslides in Lusa of Sanni Triveni Rural Municipality-1.

SURKHET, Oct 16: As many as 10,714 people have been rendered homeless due to the recent floods and landslides in Karnali Province. The Karnali Province Police Office, Surkhet, stated that the largest number, i.e. 5,282 people have become homeless due to the natural disasters in Mugu, followed by 1,763 in Kalikot district, 1725 in Jumla, 639 in Salyan, 566 in Surkhet, 474 in Humla, 207 in Dailekh, 25 in Dolpa, 18 in Jajarkot and 15 in Rukum West.

MANMA, Oct 14: Seventeen people are still missing in landslides and floods in Kalikot while bodies of six missing persons have been retrieved.

Achham Landslides: Death toll reaches 22

ACHHAM, Sept 18: The death toll in Achham landslides has reached 22. As many as 22 dead bodies were recovered from the landslides that occurred at Kamalbazaar Municipality, and Turmakhand and Dhakari rural municipalities, according to the District Police Office, Achham.

Landslide obstructs Karnali Highway

DAILEKH, Sept 18: The landslides that occurred in several places along the Highway have obstructed the Karnali Highway.

MYAGDI, August 28: The Beni-Baglung road has been blocked by landslides. The road in Beni Municipality-2 has been covered by landslide debris.

KATHMANDU, August 21: Roads in various places have been blocked in Makwanpur due to landslides caused by last night's rain. District Police Office, Makwanpur, has said that the Sisneri road section and Kanti lokpath road section were blocked due to landslides.

Obstructed Prithivi Highway resumes

Tanahun, June 29: The obstructed Prithvi Highway has resumed following the removal of landslide debris near Aina Pahara at Aanbukhaireni-2 in Tanahun district. A dozer was deployed to clear the landslide deposition, said the Area Police Office, Aanbukhaireni.

According to a local Ram Prasad Ghimire, 55-years old Netra Prasad from Ghimire village has gone missing after the landslide buried his house.

CHITWAN, June 10: The Narayanghat-Mugling road has been blocked. The road was blocked on both sides when a dry landslide fell on Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-6 at 8:45 AM.

DAMAULI, June 10: A car and a motorcycle have fallen from the landslide hit road at Aanbukhaireni Rural Municipality-4 of Tanahun along the Prithvi Highway. A car and a motorcycle fell off the sunken road this morning due to incessant rainfall.
