JAJARKOT, July 20: Two people were killed and three others were injured when a landslide caused by incessant rains buried a house at Garkhakot Chhirka of Juni Chande Rural Municipality-6 in Jajarkot.

Police confirmed the deaths of Lali Budha, 55 and her grand- daughter Sirjana Budha, nine, in the landslide occurred, all of a sudden, at 11:00 pm last night when they were asleep. 

House owner Bhakta Bahadur, his grand children Paras, 13, and Khima, seven, have been injured. Among the three, the condition of Khima is severe, Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabindra Bahadur Singh said. 
Until the filing of this report, process was underway to send the injured to the district headquarters for treatment. 

A police squad from the Area Police Office, Garkhakot walked up for four hours to reach the incident site at 1:30 pm today for the rescue efforts.
