KATHMANDU, Aug 30: The Prithvi Highway is currently blocked due to a landslide that occurred at Krishnabhir of Dhading. The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Office shared information that the landslide took place after the Trishuli River eroded the highway, posing a severe threat to vehicular movement.
Spokesperson at the Office, Naresh Raj Subedi, mentioned that vehicles traveling on the highway were stopped at Kathmandu following the obstruction.
Dry landslide blocks Jaya Prithvi Highway
Recent flooding has disrupted traffic on major roadways in several districts, including Rasuwa.
General Manager of Lhotse Multipurpose Park, Pankaj Malla, said the buses using the Prithvi Highway were asked to remain stationary at the New Bus Park. The Park manages the new bus park in Kathmandu.
Police have advised travelers not to begin journeys before being informed about road conditions.
