Landgren will also be meeting with other political leaders soon, the official informed.
Landgren also raised the concern expressed by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on the peace process of Nepal, Om Sharma, the press adviser of PM Dahal said.
Meanwhile, Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Rakesh Sood, also met with Prime Minister Dahal in connection with the ongoing political deadlock in the country.
Sharma informed that the envoy raised the issue of the PM´s recently publicized video tape in the media.
"The prime minister has told both the Indian ambassador and the UNMIN head that his party is committed to multiparty democracy and the peace process," Sharma said, adding," Regarding the video tape, he said that it was an old recording which has no relevance in the current political context."
The PM has also told the envoys that the international community must “trust the Maoists´ commitment to the peace process.”
