LALITPUR, Jan 19: The District Administration Office in Lalitpur has decided to temporarily shut down its regular services except for the essential ones for the service-seekers starting Thursday in view of the growing risk of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.
A public notice signed by Chief District Officer Ghanashyam Upadhyay on Wednesday said the DAO said that some of its staffers had contracted COVID-19 and the infection cases were alarmingly on the rise which has led to the suspension of the services until further notice.
The office will, however, provide essential services such as law and order-related works and cases of urgent hearing during this period.
Regular services such as citizenship identity card-related works, national identity cards, passport related works, among others, have been suspended indefinitely, said the notice.
