KATHMANDU, May 20: Foreign Employment Office, Kathmandu has announced that it is launching an online service for labor permits from Friday.
With this, anyone aspiring to go abroad for employment can receive the labor permit service online.
Online labour permit approval begins from UAE
The Office began the institutional level labor permit a month ago and online service for renewing labor permits began last January.
The change in service delivery has largely reduced crowds of service seekers.
Office Chief Ramesh Aryal said that the labor permit service was made available online as per the directive of the ministry to make the service convenient for both service providers and recipients.
A total of 167,000 persons were provided labor permits in the last fiscal year while more than half million people received labor permits in the first 10 months of the current fiscal year.
