KATHMANDU, Feb 3: The government has decided to classify the private companies involved in foreign employment business.
Officials at the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security (MoLESS) said this is being done to make foreign employment more systematic and dignified.

The MoLESS has formed a task force under the coordination of Joint Secretary Rajiv Pokharel to prepare the necessary indicators and procedures for classifying the foreign employment companies by determining required criteria and standards.
According to the Personal Secretariat of the Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security Krishna Kumar Shrestha, the task force formed on Thursday includes the Chief of the Foreign Employment Office, the Executive Director of the Foreign Employment Board and representative members of the foreign employment companies.
Currently, there are 860 registered foreign employment companies in Nepal.
