KATHMANDU, July 29: Kumari Bank has introduced a new savings product named 'Kumari Pariwar Surakchya Bachat Khata'. "Under this saving product, if an account is opened in the name of mother or father, mother, father and two children of their will be insured free of cost," the bank, said issuing a statement.

The product gives interest return of 6.5%. However, minimum balance of Rs 10,000 has to be maintained, according to the statement. "The insurance cover worth Rs 2.6 million will cover accident, disability and medical expenses of the family, among others," according to the statement.

Kumari Bank has a network of 100 branch offices, 91 ATM terminals, three extension counters and three branchless banking services, according to the statement. Kumari bank has 100 branches, 91 ATM and 3 extension counter and 3 branchless banking services.
