KATHMANDU, Aug 19: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has instructed bank and financial institutions (BFIs) to provide minimum banking services during the lockdown imposed by local administrations.

KATHMANDU, March 25: The commercial banks have committed to provide smooth banking services to customers while fully implementing the week-long lockdown announced by the government.

KATHMANDU, March 23: Issuing a circular on Sunday, the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), has asked all types of banks and financial institutions (BFIs) to continue with the banking services with necessary precautions. “As the government has defined banking business under the very essential services, the central bank has sought the BFIs to carry on with their services as usual,” said Gunakar Bhatta, spokesperson of the NRB.

KATHMANDU, July 29: Kumari Bank has introduced a new savings product named 'Kumari Pariwar Surakchya Bachat Khata'. "Under this saving product, if an account is opened in the name of mother or father, mother, father and two children of their will be insured free of cost," the bank, said issuing a statement.
