Koshi province govt to hold investment summit in May

A cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki at the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers' Office in Biratnagar on Thursday decided to organize the conference from May 1 to 2, 2025.

MORANG, Jan 9: The Koshi Province government has announced plans to hold an investment summit in the upcoming May.


A cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki at the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers' Office in Biratnagar on Thursday decided to organize the conference from May 1 to 2, 2025.

Provincial Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, Rewatiraman Bhandari, who is also the government spokesperson, said that the bill for provincial mass media will be submitted after it is discussed in the Law, Justice, and Provincial Affairs Committee. The cabinet meeting also decided to submit the bill to regulate the province’s pesticides, amended by the same committee, to the Provincial Assembly.


The cabinet meeting on Thursday also approved the submission of a bill concerning provincial seeds as amended by the Law, Justice, and Provincial Affairs Committee, to the Provincial Assembly for further discussion.
