KATHMANDU, Jan 27: Nepali Congress (NC) President Girija Prasad Koirala is uninterested to be Prime Minister, said Dr. Minendra Rijal, Minister for Constituent Assembly Affairs, Culture and State Restructuring.

The NC leader said this after media reported that Chairman of Unified CPN (Maoist) Pushpa Kamal Dahal requested Koirala to become prime minister.

Addressing a function organised in the capital on Wednesday, Minister Rijal said the integration of Maoist combatants will be carried out on the basis of the standard set by security bodies.

Speaking in the same program, CPN-UML leader Bharat Mohan Adhikari said the task of the newly formed High Level Political Mechanism is to end the present political instability not to change the government.

Similarly, leader of Unified CPN (Maoist) Janardan Sharma said the decision of the Special Committee on supervision, integration and rehabilitation of Maoist combatants will be the final one.
