Koirala falls ill as PM visits

KATHMANDU, Sept 7: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal visited Nepali Congress President Girija Prasad Koirala at the latter´s residence at Maharajgunj, on Monday morning.



Nepal reached the former prime minister´s residence to talk about contemporary political issues but returned soon after as Koirala fell ill, according to the prime minister´s office.



"First take a rest and get well. We will talk after you feel better," Prime Minister Nepal´s press advisor Bishnu Rijal quoted him as telling Koirala.



Koirala´s aides informed the prime minister that the octogenarian leader was suffering from low level hemoglobin and high fever.



Nepal returned from the Koirala residence as the latter was in a feeble condition, Rijal said.
