Koirala, Baidya hold talks

KATHMANDU, Aug 3: Nepali Congress president Sushil Koirala and chairman of the CPN-Maoist Mohan Baidya held talks at the former´s residence in Mhaarajgunj here on Saturday.



On the occasion, president Koirala urged the CPN-Maoist chairman to participate in the upcoming election to the Constituent Assembly, and Baidya suggested moving ahead through a new political agreement putting on hold the CA election scheduled for November 19, said CPN-Maoist secretary Dev Gurung, who was present during the talks between the two leaders.[break]



Stating that the CPN-Maoist was not anti-election party, Biadya proposed that a government of the parties should be constituted and the election held through new consensus among all the political parties.



The CPN-Maoist chairman said that his party was ever ready for forging consensus through talks for a new process.
