Meanwhile, KMC Mayor Shah did not participate but sent Basanta Adhikari, the chief administrative officer of the metropolis, to the meeting. According to Adhikari, Mayor Shah could not come to the meeting because his wife was sick.

However, this is not the first time that Shah has been absent from the meeting. Last month, he did not attend the meeting called by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on waste management.
