KATHMANDU, Dec 1: Ram Narayan Shah, father of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Mayor Balendra Shah, has passed away. He died on Monday afternoon.
He was admitted to Civil Hospital in New Baneshwor on Sunday morning. He was undergoing treatment on a ventilator.

According to hospital sources, he had developed a urinary infection that had spread throughout his body.
Prime Minister Sushila Karki had visited him at the hospital on Monday morning.
