Kist chips in Rs 500,000 to SEJON fund

KATHMANDU, June 14: Kist Bank has contributed Rs 500,000 to a fund created by Society of Economic Journalists of Nepal (SEJON) to award outstanding economic journalists.



Kamal Gyawali, CEO of the bank, and Narayan Sapkota, chairman of SEJON, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to this effect on Sunday. SEJON will award promising economic journalists from the interest earned from the fund.



Meanwhile, Kist Bank has opened four branches in the capital. With the opening of new branches at Baneshwar, Shankhamul, Kaushaltar and Satdobato, the number of branches in the bank´s network has reached 51.



Sashin Joshi, president of Nepal Bankers´ Association, inaugurated the new branches.
