KATHMANDU, Sept 2: Sujan Oli has been elected as the new president of the Society of Economic Journalists Nepal (SEJON).
He was elected to the post by the organization's 25th annual general meeting held on Saturday. Oli, who is a former journalist of Nagarik Daily, a sister organization of Nepal Republic Media, got 99 votes, while his nearest competitor Siromani Dhungana received 96 votes.

Similarly, Binaya Banjara has been elected as the new vice-president of SEJON. He was competing against Bhagwat Bhattarai for the post. Likewise, Biswas Regmi has been elected the new general secretary of the organization unanimously.
Sovit Thapaliya was elected the secretary while Achyut Puri became the organization’s new treasurer.
According to the election committee, Keshu Lamichhane, Hemanta Joshi, Mamata Thapa, Chhabi Sapkota and Basanta Raj Upreti have been elected central committee members.
