The clash ensued after supporters of the Unified CPN (Maoist)´s sister organization went to encircle the District Administration Office (DAO), Udayapur.
Uttarman Shrestha, a worker at Udayapur Cement Factory, and another identified by his surname as Chaudhary were hurt in the police action.
Tension prevailed at the DAO for sometime, as the protesters and police hurled stones at each other. Police had to fire one round of teargas to take the situation under control.
It is learnt that around six vehicles were vandalized by the agitators.
