KATHMANDU, July 4: Khukuri FC, a Japan-based organization of Nepali migrants, said that it is organizing Khukuri FC First Running Cup, a futsal tournament, on July 8 in Fukuoka Higashi.
According to tournament coordinator Narayan Subedi, altogether 16 teams have confirmed their participation in the tournament. "It would not only be a tournament but an opportunity to establish friendship between Nepalis living in Japan," said Subedi.
According to Subedi, the tournament will be held at Fukuoka Higashi-ku Matsushima. The winner of the tournament will receive ¥ 500,000 (Japanese Yen) while the runner-up will get ¥200,000 (Japanese Yen). He also said that the money raised from the tournament will be spent in various works for the betterment of the Nepali community in Japan.
