During the meeting, the Chinese envoy, on behalf of the Chinese Communist Party, extended an invitation to Khanal to visit China during the second week of June, Ram Babu Adhikari, Khanal’s personal aide said in a press statement. [break]
Khanal, accepting the invitation, said he will visit China leading a delegation from his party. The invitation comes just about a month after UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal completed his weeklong China trip.
During the meeting, the two also dwelt on a range of issues, chiefly Nepal’s recent political developments including the country’s ongoing preparations for Constituent Assembly elections, the statement said.
