Doctors involved in his treatment said Khanal will return home on Thursday as no serious problem has been found in his health condition.
Party sources said Khanal was rushed to the hospital at 8 pm after he felt pain in the chest. “Problem has been observed in his heart while conducting an angiogram,” said Arun Maskey, director of the Heart Center. “But no serious problem has been found.” He added Khanal will need at least six hours´ rest after undergoing through angiogram.
UML Health Department Chief Krishna Gopal Shrestha said Khanal had undergone medical test at Helping Hand Hospital at Chabahil Wednesday morning as part of a regular check up.
Shrestha himself had taken appointment for Khanal at Gangalal Hospital after some problems were observed in his chest. “There is no big problem in chairman´s health,” he said. “He has been admitted to the hospital as it is good for him to take rest for some time.”
