Khanal talked to UML Siraha chairman Lilanath Shrestha, Maoist district in-charge Hari Narayan Chaudhary, Madhesi People’s Rights Forum Nepal district chairman Kishori Yadav, civil society member Chandev Kamati and women’s representative Samjhana Thapaliya.
During the conversation, the district representatives told Khanal that the SC decision regarding the army integration has raised their hope that the new constitution would be drafted in time.
Khanal began telephonic conversation with local leaders and civil society members of various districts last Thursday to learn of their views on the ongoing peace process and constitution drafting task.
