KATHMANDU, March 27: Former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal has said that peace must be addressed as a multidimensional precept including the personal or mental peace that encompasses an inner state of tranquility. Social peace is reflected in the form of social justice and development.
Addressing an assembly organised on the occasion of diamond jubilee ceremony of the Santhigiri Ashram at Kerala of India on Tuesday, leader Khanal clarified that mental peace is manifested in the form of virtues such as friendliness, compassion, mercy, moderation, modesty, forgiveness, non-violence, love, free from ego so on.
He said that the campaign of Sanatan Guru Shishya Tradition, humanitarian activities and cultural harmony, launched by the Ashram, could be initiated in Nepal as well.

On the occasion, leader Khanal also presented Santhigiri Pranava Padma Puraskaram or Prize to Padmabhusan Bharat Mohan Lal for his contribution to Malayalam cinema.
