Khagendra Lamichhane’s debut directorial —‘Pani Photo’ —movie’s shoot was inaugurated on Monday amid a special program held at Baglamukhi temple, Patan. Several members of the film unit including Anup Baral, Menuka Pradhan were present in the event. Written by Lamichhane himself, the film revolves around the story of parents waiting for their lost child.

A few years back Lamichhane had staged the same story at Gurukul Theater as a famous drama ‘Pani Photo’. After completing one day shooting in Kathmandu, the crew of the film moved to Syangja for further shooting. “It was my dream to make a film about this story. Since staging the drama I wanted to make a film about it,” said Lamichhane. The film is being made under the banner of Tuki Arts and Manju Shree Production. The production unit of the film is aiming to release the film in 2020.
Apart from Lamichhane, the film features Anup Baral, Menuka Pradhan, Prakash Ghimire, Buddhi Tamang, Kamal Mani Nepal, and Shyam Kumar Khadka.
