Kathmandu Valley reports 1,409 new cases

KATHMANDU, Oct 9: As many as 1,409 more people were diagnosed with the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the Kathmandu Valley in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

KATHMANDU, Oct 9: As many as 1,409 more people were diagnosed with the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the Kathmandu Valley in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).


Of the newly-confirmed cases in the capital valley, Kathmandu district alone witnessed 1,116 new cases while 130 in Bhaktapur and 163 in Lalitpur were diagnosed with this viral infection.

With this, the total number of confirmed cases in the Valley has jumped to 37,498. The Valley also reported two more deaths due to this viral infection, taking the death tally to 183.


Meanwhile, the total COVID-19 caseload across the country reached 100,676 with 2,059 new cases on Friday.
