Kathmandu had thrashed Saptari 12-0 in the first round while Dolakha had edged Makawanpur on penalties. Kathmandu will meet the winner of the match between Chitwan and Nepal Army in the quarterfinal. "We will probably face Nepal Army in the quarterfinal but we are prepared to take on any opponent," said Kathmandu coach Devendra Jung Shahi.
Meanwhile, Nawalparasi defeated Surkhet 3-0 at the Kirtipur Ground in Sunawal, Nawalparasi on Wednesday. Sushma Kewat, Ranjana Lama and Hasina Begam were on target for the host.
In the second match held at the same venue, Mina Chaudhary scored a hat-trick to give Kailali a 3-1 victory over Taplejung. Chaudhary scored the first goal in the ninth minute and added two more in the 50th and 77th minutes to complete a hat-trick.
