KATHMANDU, May 17: Kathmandu Metropolitan City has so far reported 51,412 cases of the coronavirus disease. Of the cases confirmed since last year, 40,266 patients have so far gained recovery, according to a report released by the metropolis on Sunday evening.
The KMC shared that 10,181 corona patients are staying isolated at their homes while 506 others are undergoing treatment at various hospitals. Similarly, 114 others are receiving treatment for the disease at various institutional isolation centers.
The metropolitan city witnessed a total of 345 deaths with Ward 16 reporting the highest of 29 fatalities followed by 27 in Ward 15. Similarly, Ward 4 reported 20 cases of death and Ward 30 confirmed a total of 19 deaths.
Of the total cases confirmed, the highest number of infections --- 4,755-- were reported in Ward 32 while the Ward 18 reported the least number of COVID-19 cases i.e. 207.
