The Nepal Communist Party and CPN (Masal) are organizing the two-day event, which has been touted as an opportunity to send a positive message to the world in the aftermath of the formation of Nepal's largest communist party following the unification of the then CPN-UML and the CPN (Maoist Center).
Information about this was shared at a press meet organized by the conference organizing committee in Kathmandu on Monday. As stated by the committee's coordinator and NCP senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, a discussion session on the challenges that the communist parties faced in the past, and future policies have been scheduled during the conference. 'People's liberation and social transformation' is always in the center of communists," he said, adding that the present focus of CPN was on how to achieve prosperity through the means of socialism and ensure just distribution of such gains. Prime Minister and NCP Chairman KP Oli is scheduled to inaugurate the event and present a paper on the topic 'Communist movement in Nepal and revolutionary process'.
