Kaski District Court orders police to investigate Chhabilal Joshi, extends custody by five-days

KATHMANDU, Sept 23: The Kaski District Court has permitted the police to remand former DIG Chhabilal Joshi in custody for five days to  investigate his role in misappropriation of cooperative funds as a director of Gorkha Media Network.

KATHMANDU, Sept 23: The Kaski District Court has permitted the police to remand former DIG Chhabilal Joshi in custody for five days to  investigate his role in misappropriation of cooperative funds as a director of Gorkha Media Network.

Judge Chandrakant Paudel’s bench extended the deadline for five-days after hearing the debate on whether to detain Joshi for investigation.

Similarly, Joshi will be investigated on three charges including cooperative fraud, organized crime and money laundering.
