Kartik Naach concluded showcasing Lord Vishnu’s Varah and Narasimha avatar

Legendary dance drama,  Kartik Naach concluded on Saturday this year.  The performance was held for two days at Kartik Dabali, Patan Durbar Square.

Legendary dance drama,  Kartik Naach concluded on Saturday this year.  The performance was held for two days at Kartik Dabali, Patan Durbar Square.

This year due to the pandemic, public were not allowed in the courtyard to witness it. The courtyard was sealed during the performance.


Last year, it was showcased for 12 days whereas the duration of the performance has changed often.


It is believed that King Siddhi Narsingh Malla is the one to start  this traditional dance drama in the 17th century. Meanwhile, in the two-day performance, God Vishnu’s  Varah and Narasimha avatar were shown.
