NPL: Pokhara Avengers set 104-run for Karnali Yaks
Though the target seemed easily attainable, the Yaks struggled during the first ten overs. Their opener Dev Khanal was duck-out on the third ball of Bipin Khatri in the very first over of the second inning. Then in the fourth over Babar Hayat was also sent off to the pavilion with just 7 runs in 10 balls with the team’s scoreboard staring gloomily with 14 runs. At this stage the Avengers appeared to have regained their grip on the game. However, the partnership between Gulsan Jha and Chadwick Walton revived the waning hope of the Yaks. Walton missed his half century by just 8 runs while Gulsan Jha smashed 49 runs, not-out, in 37 balls.
The game concluded with a thriller sixer by Gulsan Jha. Tomorrow, Janakpur Bolts will be meeting Sudurpaschim Royals in the morning match and Kathmandu Gurkhas will meet Lumbini Lions in the afternoon.
