KATHMANDU, Sept 4: Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal (RPP-N) Chairman Kamal Thapa on Tuesday ruled out any possibility of talks from now onwards with Rastriya Janashakti Party (RJP) for party unification.

Speaking at an interaction program held in the capital today, Thapa made it clear that his party´s merger with RJP is not possible as its Chairman Surya Bahadur Thapa tried to obstruct the unification process by putting forth unnecessary demands, which RPP-N chief said were against an earlier agreement among three parties-- RPP-N, RJP and Rastriya Prajatantantra Party (RPP).[break]

Thapa, however, said there is still possibility of party unification with RPP.

During the interaction, Thapa further accused RJP Chairman Thapa of unduly putting forth a new condition that would require a prior agreement on the would-be policies, programs and the statute of the future unified party.

According to him, the three parties had earlier decided to let the proposed unification general assembly decide and resolve all contentious issues with regard to policies, programs and the statute of the unified party and subsequently accept the decisions.
