KATHMANDU, Feb 14: Outgoing Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party Kamal Thapa has become the Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal.
Lakpa Tamang, who registered RPP Nepal with the Election Commission, handed over RPP Nepal to Thapa on Sunday. On Sunday, Tamang resigned and Thapa became the party’s chairman. Thapa said that RPP Nepal would make Hindu nation, good governance and prosperity as its main agenda.

Thapa was also the chairman of RPP Nepal earlier. After the unification of the then RPP Nepal and RPP, RPP Nepal was dissolved. A year later, Lakpa Tamang registered RPP Nepal. Thapa has taken the leadership of RPP Nepal registered at the EC. Leaders close to Thapa have informed that he will hold a declaration meeting in Kathmandu on February 19.
