DHORPATAN (BAGLUNG), July 6: The Kaligandaki Corridor has been blocked due to landslides triggered by incessant rainfall over the past two days.
The corridor has been blocked in the Binamare area of Jaimini Municipality in Baglung. Traffic from Chisti, Jaidi, Arjewa, Binamare, and other places in Jaimini to the district headquarters, Baglung Bazaar, has been blocked due to the landslide, said Information Officer of the District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police Vijay Yadav.
Revised interest rate corridor system introduced
Efforts to open the road for traffic have been hampered as landslides continue due to the persistent rain.
Meanwhile, the Maldhunga-Beni road under the Kaligandaki Corridor in Parbat has also been blocked. The road was blocked by landslides near Maldhunga in Kushma Municipality-1. Traffic police chief Sitaram Ojha shared that the road has remained blocked since this morning, leaving passengers coming from Myagdi and Mustang stranded at Khaniaghat.
