Finance Minister Khatiwada inaugurates Vehicle and Consignment Tracking System


Finance Minister Yuba Raj Khatiwada has inaugurated Vehicle and Consignment Tracking System(VCTS) today in the capital. The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers had issued a circular on the VCTS signed by the Chief Secretary Bishnu Prasad Lamsal on July 8, 2019. The circular stated that the VCTS would be effective from July 17, 2019.


Minister Baskota directs one and all to meet govt objective


Minister Baskota urged all the employees of the ministry and departments to perform actively, sincerely and efficiently while speaking at a program to unveil the unified work plan of the ministry for the new fiscal year on Wednesday.

Drug dealer suspected of 'pen gun sale' lands in police net


A team of police personnel on Wednesday has arrested one young man with a weapon resembling a pen and seven rounds of ammunition in Pokhara. According to SP Dan Bahadur Karki, Chief of District Police Office in Kaski, the arrestee has been identified as Sagar Ranabhat, a resident of Pokhara Metropolitan City-24.


Consumers disappointed with govt's decision to hike internet price


Consumers have expressed their dissatisfaction with Nepal government's decision to hike the internet price that takes effect from today. Internet Service Providers (ISPs) are set to charge 13% telecommunication service charge (TSC) to their users from the upcoming fiscal year (2019/20) as a response to the government's decision.


UPDATE: Rescuers find 14 bodies after building collapse in India


Rescuers found 14 bodies and pulled out 11 survivors as they began winding down operations at the site of a dilapidated building that collapsed in India’s financial capital of Mumbai, an official said Wednesday. Bijendra Dahiya, a National Disaster Response Force official, said workers were still looking for two to three people feared trapped in the rubble.


World Cup Qatar 2022 Qualifiers: Nepal to play against tough opponents in second round


The draws for the second round of Asian qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup, 2022 was held in the Malaysian capital this afternoon. The 2022 world cup will be held in Qatar. Nepal has been grouped with Kuwait, Chinese Taipei, Jordan and Australia.
