KATHMANDU, July 15: Phupu Lhamu Khatri will compete for world ranking during the Asian Cadet and Junior Judo Championship to be held in Hong Kong and Macau from July 17 to 20.

Phupu accompanied by coach Debu Thapa left for Hong Kong on Wednesday. Phupu will compete in women's U-63 kg event for 16-20 year age category. Phupu and coach Thapa, who are under special training for Rio 2016 Olympic, have won scholarship for the same purpose from Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) recognized internationally.
Meanwhile, Nepal Olympic Committee President Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan and General Secretary Jeevan Ran Shrestha among other bade farewell to them on Wednesday.
