Journalist found in unconscious state

KATHMANDU, Dec 8: Journalist Tika Bista, councilor of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), was found in an unconscious state in a bush near her house on Tuesday afternoon. Bista´s friends had found her unconscious body near her house in Rukum.



According to a press statement issued by the FNJ in Kathmandu, Bista has sustained injuries on her head, leg, and arms.



Bista had received a threatening call on November 29 after she published an article criticizing the UCPN (Maoist). The doctors in Rukum District Hospital have referred her to Kathmandu for further treatment.
