KATHMANDU, Nov 16: The Government of Japan on Wednesday donated four ambulances to the Nepal Red Cross Society (NRCS) amid a program held in the central office of NRCS in the capital.
Japanese Ambassador to Nepal Masashi Ogawa, handing over the keys of the ambulances to NRCS Chair Sanjeev Thapa, shared that the ambulances were provided to Nepal to help render effective healthcare services to the people in rural areas.
India gifts 36 ambulances, six buses and books to 51 libraries
NRCS Chair Thapa and its Secretary-General Dev Ratna Dhakhwa extended their gratitude to the Government of Japan, Japan Red Cross Society and people of Japan for their humanitarian assistance to Nepal in the sectors of drinking water and sanitation among others for over three decades.
NRCS today itself handed over ambulances' keys to its Chapters in Gulmi, Pyuthan, Morang and Udayapur.
It was shared that NRCS has been providing ambulance services in a total of 205 places across 67 districts of the country. RSS
