KATHMANDU, Aug 15: The Government of India has gifted 66 school buses and 35 ambulances to Nepal on the occasion of its 78th Independence Day.
The Embassy of India has provided school buses and ambulances by organizing a special program. India has been providing ambulances and school buses to Nepal each year on the occasion of its Independence Day.
India gifts 36 ambulances, six buses and books to 51 libraries
According to the Indian Embassy, a total of 1,009 ambulances and 300 school buses have been provided so far.
In the last year, 25 projects with the support of India were inaugurated in Nepal, six projects were signed and foundation stone laying for nine projects was completed, the Indian embassy said.
Following the agreement of the ministry of foreign ministers between Nepal and India in Poush (mid-December and mid-January), it has been arranged that India is able to expend 200 million directly on projects in Nepal.
