JAJARKOT, August 10: Expressing solidarity with Dr Govinda KC, who has been staging a fast-unto-death demanding reforms in medical education sector, Jajarkot-based doctors boycotted hospital wards on Thursday.
They are treating patients on the premises of the district hospital building, saying that the government paid no heed to Dr KC’s demands.

Doctors have also boycotted letter pads and other documents with government stamps and are treating patients without taking fee as part of protest against the government.
Wearing black arm bands, the doctors are treating the patients registering the patients name on a blank sheet of paper and writing prescription on it.
“We are wearing black arm bands during our office hours to protest against the government for ignoring Dr KC’s demands, said officiating doctor Chandani Jaiswal.
Jajarkot doctors protested wearing black arm bands during officers today in line with the protest programs announced by Government Doctors Association of Nepal (GDAN) in support of Dr. KC who has been staging fast-unto-death since the last 18 days. This is his 11th hunger strike.
