Officials of the company released the products amid a program in the capital on Wednesday. They also organized a demonstration to install the pipes and fittings.
Speaking on the occasion, the director of the company Vineet Agarwal said, “The state-of-the art technology will help our customers keep away from pollution resultant due to faulty pipes and also enable them modernize their homes at low cost”. He also said three-layered pipes and fittings by IPTF are durable in nature and cost relatively less in comparison to other GI and HDPE pipes.
The products are said to have a life span of 50 years and are also 100 percent leak and rust resistant and are a dependable medium to supply hot and cold water as well as other industrial liquid.
The external layer of the pipes and fittings have UV stabilizer and are designed to face harsh environmental conditions. The middle layer made of LTHA and PPA is thicker than the outer and inner layers and thus prevents the material passing through the pipe from environmental changes and helps keep the physical property of the material passing through the pipe intact. The inner layer however grants security against bacteria, algae formation, and development of bad odor, scaling and calcification, according to Agarwal.
Easy to carry and install, these pipes and fittings are 25-30 percent less expensive in comparison to others and can also be the best way for water supply in urban and rural areas as well as mountainous and hilly regions, Agarwal claimed.
Pipes and fittings by Inter-Tech can be bought from the company´s outlet at Teku. The raw materials for the products are imported from India and Korea.
