Mangalam Industries introduces C-PVC pipes & fittings

KATHMANDU, Dec 21: Mangalam Industries - a joint venture between SFMC India and Nepali investors - has been established in Nepal to provide complete plumbing solutions.



The company established with an investment of Rs 120 million has set up its production unit in Bhairahawa and made necessary arrangements for the new products to be available at its dealers and sales centers across the country. [break]



Mangalam Industries on Wednesday launched latest American technology-based C-PVC pipes and fittings under Mangalam Flowlife brand in its first phase in the presence of K.L Kindra, vice-president of SFMC, India.



According to the company, C-PVC pipes and fittings are particularly designed for water distribution system in residential houses, high-rise buildings, hospitals, corporate buildings, solar water heating system and are safe, durable and cost-effective solutions for hot and cold water.



Abhinav Churiwal, managing director of the company, said the company aims to export its products in the Indian market in the near future. “We will launch 20 varieties of C-PVC fittings in next 3 months and agricultural pipes and U-PVC pipes in the near future,” informed Churiwal.



The company claims C-PVC pipes and fittings have the capacity of holding liquid up to 90° centigrade and service life of at least 50 years. The pipes and fittings are made with Japanese raw materials and fitted with world´s renowned solvent cement which makes it leak-proof.



Flowlife C-PVC pipes and fittings are manufactured as per ASTM D-2846 and are made of chlorinated polyvinyl chloride. It is available in a complete range of 0.5 to 2-inch sizes. “The choice of raw material, the structural accuracy and the strict quality control give the Flowlife C-PVC system a high-degree of reliability,” said Churiwal.

Flowlife C-PVC pipes and fittings are chemical resistant, useful for both hot and cold water, light, strong and durable, have low thermal expansion, comprise of 100 percent leak-proof joints and are easy to carry.



“As Flowlife C-PVC does not allow bacterial growth, scaling, pitting or leakage formation and remains unaffected by chlorine in water, it offers many advantages compared to GI and other conventional systems,” informed Churiwal.



The company believes the products will soon be popular among the users because of its amazing capacity of high-pressure and ordinary fire resistance as well as smell and rust-free trait. Besides, users and plumbing technicians will prefer these pipes and fittings because C-PVC pipes and fittings are very user-friendly and easy to fit.



Currently, Nepal imports C-PVC pipes and fittings worth Rs 160 to Rs 180 million annually from India. “With the establishment of the company, we hope we are able to reduce the import volume,” said Churiwal.
