KATHMANDU, Nov 8: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has extended his greetings to all Nepali brothers and sisters residing within and outside of Nepal on the occasion of Tihar, the festival of lights. Wishing good health, happiness and prosperity of fellow citizens, the PM reiterated government’s commitment to ignite prosperity and development in the country through good governance.
In a two minute video posted on Twitter, the PM said that since becoming the country’s prime minister, under his leadership, the government was able to show good signs of economic change in the first three months of the current fiscal year against the previous fiscal year.

“We’ve increased tax collection by 42 per cent and export by 17 per cent,” Oli said. He added that the government was spending money prudently. He added that despite soaring US dollar exchange rates, the government was doing its best to lower the devaluation.
He added that the government had also established a Council on Industry and Trade Promotion under his chairmanship to bolster development and economic prosperity by working closely with the private sector.
“These are positive signs of economic development with good governance,” he said.
“It is unto us to build our country.”
