The participants pitched their products to global audience and experts from partner countries via live streaming. The apps, which were the result of the 12 week training, covered topics like health care, agriculture and music among others.Participant Ichhyangkush Manandhar found his experience at the Pre-Accelerator Program as educational and helpful. "Most of us came from IT background so we did not have much idea about business execution. The program taught us how to interact and communicate one's ideas to the people, which are an integral part of entrepreneurship," he shares.
Manandhar is one of the three founders of the app 'Tripmandu' designed to help hikers and trekkers to travel easily and safely. Their plan is to help flourish the tourism industry of Nepal and provide exposure to local beneficiaries.
The winning team of Human Trafficking Appathon, team 'Trijyaa' and the World Finalist Imagine Cup 2015 from Nepal, team 'Octavian' also exhibited their ideas to the audience.

MIC Nepal along with MIC Pakistan, MIC Chile and MIC Armenia was selected to conduct the MIC Pre-Accelerator Program out of 113 MICs in the world. MIC recruited early stage teams for an intensive 12-week journey to learn about customer acquisition and other entrepreneurial skills.
MIC Pre-Accelerator Program is a unique free startup training program, designed to provide startup IT entrepreneurs with the support and resources they require to execute their business and turn their ideas into solutions. Ten teams in Nepal were selected for an intensive 12-week journey, which started in February, where they learnt about customer acquisition and entrepreneurial skills from experts in the international communities.
