KATHMANDU, June 15: Iran has become the first Asian team to win at the 2018 FIFA World Cup since Japan defeated Denmark 3-1 on June 24, 2010, with an own goal from Aziz Bouhaddouz in the fifth minute of the stoppage time.
The power house of Asia - Iran in a tightly- contested first game of Group B has registered their first victory of the group against Morocco at the St. Petersburg Stadium in Saint Petersburg on Friday.
The next game of the group between Portugal and Spain will be played later today on 11:45 pm at the Fisht Stadium, Sochi.
