KATHMANDU, April 27: Signature Whisky announced a call for applications for models to participate in Signature International Fashion Walk, an upcoming fashion event featuring some of the best upcoming designers from India, Nepal and Bangladesh.[break]

The announcement was made on April 9.

On April 22, they auditioned 73 shortlisted candidates out of the 117 applicants and selected the final 32 models (male and female), aged 18 and above. The models will showcase the collections of Bibi Russell (Bangladesh), Monapali (India), Kallol Dutta(India) and Amit Talwar(India), as well as of well known Nepali designers Rajesh Dhakwa, Anu Shrestha, and Nuzhat Qazi on May 7 and 8.

Model and choreographer Malvika Subba and DMI Managing Director Raju Singh Sondhi were the judges. The focus this time was on creating a mix of established models and fresh faces to create a show that is both professional and refreshing.

These 32 models will go through a thorough training module for the event since they will be representing the work of well-established designers. The training, which began on April 25, will include walking and posture training as well as choreography for the show.
