Four-day-long ‘International Film Festival-2018’ began in Kathmandu on Tuesday. ‘Bhuimanchhe’, a Nawaraj Budhathoki directorial, was shown during the inauguration program of the festival. Seven Nepali films, including ‘Bhuimanchhe’, have been selected for the festival organized by Nepali Film Society. Along with Nepali films, several other international cinemas is scheduled to be showcased in the festival -- including American film ‘All the President Man’, Chinese film ‘So Young’, Danish film ‘Key House Mirror’, French film ‘Polish’ Israeli film ‘The Band’s Visit’, and Spanish film, ‘Las Ovejas’.
Oscar College to organize ‘Oscar Film Festival’
President of the society Krishna Malla stated that this kind of festival would help to promote Nepali films in the international market. He said, “By exhibiting international films, we will get a chance to notice the development in other parts of the world.”
The festival is slated to continue till Saturday.
