Nepali film ‘Bulbul’ is scheduled to exhibit as the opening film in an International film festival titled ‘Nepal America Film Festival’. The fest is being organized for past three years at Maryland, America. Director of the film Binod Paudel stated that organizers of the film have featured ‘Bulbul’ as opening film. Nabin Subba directed ‘Goodbye Kathmandu’ was featured as opening film in the same festival last year.
Meanwhile, production team of the film informed that the film has made gross box-office collection of Rs 15 million. Paudel expressed his happiness for the film’s box-office success. “It’s really hard to make profit in Nepali film, but I am so happy that our film has made a good profit out of a small investment,” he said. Total budget of the film was Rs 8 Million.
Public Choice award for 'Bulbul' in France
The film is doing well in other countries as well. Recently, the copyright of the film was sold to Nepal Touch in Australia. Moreover, the production team informed that they are planning to sell copyright in India and the USA, within a week.
The festival is scheduled to take place from June 28 to 30.
